I've got a bit of an obsession with the iron lids that cover the various infrastructure holes in our streets and sidewalks. This particular one happens to be in Fremont and has collected some pine needles or dried grass.

september 3, 2015 - telephone poster art...
... without the posters.
There was a period (early 90s?) in the city, when it was illegal to post anything on streetlamp poles and telephone poles (and what is a telephone pole these days, anyway? a pole with fiber optic strung between it?). Apparently it's not any longer. I love seeing the various posters, but also the detritus of staples and tape left behind.
